PAT Testing

All PAT Testing has been completed in accordance with the IET Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.

Responsibility - All PAT Testing is carried out solely at the equipment owner’s risk.

Appliance Estimates - If the number of appliances/items tested by our engineer(s) is less than 20% of an estimate (total number of tests) provided to PAT Safety UK by the customer, any discount will be removed and our standard pricing structure will be applied.

Visual Inspection - A Portable Appliance that is Visually Inspected is charged at the same rate as a Portable Appliance that has under-gone Combined Visual Inspection and Testing.

Microwave Oven Emission Test - This is an additional test that is completed by our engineer(s) alongside a Portable Appliance Combined Visual Inspection and Test on every microwave oven unless requested otherwise. This carries an additional charge.

Minimum Invoice Charge - The minimum invoice charge for the first 35 appliances/items tested applies to each location. A location is defined as an area where test sites are adjacent to, or within 100 metres of one another. If separate reports and certificates are required for adjacent sites, they will be treated as individual locations where the minimum invoice charge will apply.

Engineer Expenses - Any expenses incurred by our engineer(s) (Parking or Statutory fess i.e. Congestion Charge) will be added to your invoice should these have been applicable.

Cancellation Charges - will be applied if PAT Safety UK Ltd receive less than 48 hours-notice to cancel/rearrange a confirmed job booking; or if the premises are closed; or the engineer(s) cannot gain access - it will be assumed that the job is cancelled.

PAT Safety UK Ltd reserve the right to withhold any Certificates until full payment has been received for the service that has been completed.

Fire Extinguisher Servicing

The Fire Extinguisher Service has been completed in accordance with BS 5306-3 and BS 5306-8 for Service and Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers.

Responsibility - All Fire Extinguisher Servicing is carried out solely at the unit owner’s risk.

Rejected Extinguisher Units - Any extinguisher unit that our engineer(s) deems to fail part or all of the inspection and service and therefore are REJECTED; are still chargeable at the same rate as an extinguisher unit that has passed a full inspection and service.

Minimum Invoice Charge - The minimum invoice charge for the first 10 extinguishers inspected applies to each location. A location is defined as an area where test sites are adjacent to, or within 100 metres of one another. If separate reports and certificates are required for adjacent sites, they will be treated as individual locations where the minimum invoice charge will apply.
